Journal

Welcome to the Journal

Why we're writing, who it's for, and what you'll find here: build teardowns, operator notes, and plain-English walkthroughs of AI that actually ships.

Puro AI Labs exists because of a gap: the one between every AI headline you read and anything actually running in a small business. Most AI writing is pitched at developers or at companies with internal implementation teams. Not at operators: the solo professionals, lean agency owners, and SMB founders who have real work to do and no one internal to figure out what to build next.

This journal is where we narrow that gap in long form.

What you'll find here

Three kinds of posts, roughly:

Build teardowns. Real systems we've shipped, for our own agency, for clients, or for Workshop attendees. Exact prompts, exact connectors, exact friction points. The kind of thing that's annoyingly missing from most "AI case studies" online.

Operator maps. Where AI actually fits in a function (sales, content ops, hiring, accounts, inbox triage) without pretending every business needs every thing. We've been running a content agency since 2024 and rebuilt it end-to-end around AI. These maps are what we learned.

Workshop recaps + release ledgers. A month-by-month "what shipped and what to care about" in the AI tooling world (Claude, GPT, MCP connectors, Claude Code, new agent frameworks) filtered for operators. If you want to know what's worth your attention and what isn't, this is the feed.

Who this is for

If you fit one of these, this is for you:

  • You run a small practice: doctor, lawyer, coach, consultant, creator. Your expertise is the product; admin eats your week.
  • You run a lean agency: 2 to 15 people, tight margins, looking for leverage that isn't "hire more."
  • You're an SMB founder: up to 50 people, know AI matters, don't have someone internal to figure it out.

If you're an AI researcher, a VC scanning for deal flow, or a dev building an agent framework, this probably isn't your read. We write for people who'd rather use the tools than build them.

How it connects to the rest of the site

Reading here is free. When you find something you want running in your own business, there are two doors:

  • The Studio: we build it for you. Audit → build → train → handover. Three engagements per quarter.
  • The Workshop: we teach you to build it. On-demand, two to three hours, live, scoped to your room. Group session for your team, or 1:1 on a deep-dive build.

Most of these journal posts will either preview something we'll teardown in an upcoming Workshop, or write up something that ran inside a Studio engagement.

Cadence

We're aiming for one post every two weeks: sometimes a build teardown, sometimes a short operator map, sometimes a release ledger. Not on a strict schedule. When we have something worth writing down, we write it. When we don't, we don't.

If you want updates as they land, our Instagram and YouTube channel are where we announce new posts along with the short-form demos and teardowns.

Drop us a line

If there's a specific build or function you'd like us to write up (cold outreach agents, onboarding packets, editorial review loops, bank statement reconciliation, whatever) tell us. We work from the queue of what operators actually want.

Welcome aboard. First real teardown lands in the next couple weeks.
