# Puro AI Labs > An AI software team, without the hire. Three ways to work with us: as your outsourced Chief AI Officer on a monthly retainer, as your one-time custom build team, or by buying one of our indie builds outright. Puro AI Labs is a Mumbai-based software studio founded by Purandhar "Puro" Gopalakrishnan in 2026. We build custom AI, web apps, and automations for owners who are tired of running their company out of WhatsApp threads, spreadsheets, and the back of someone's notebook. Everything we sell has been built and stress-tested inside our own businesses first. We are a deliberately small team — Puro plus an account manager and an AI-leveraged build team — not a venture-scale agency. ## The three offers ### 1. Outsourced Chief AI Officer (the flagship retainer) A senior partner who owns the software side of your business. You say what you need; we decide what is worth building, build it, ship it, run it, and train your team while we do it. Unlimited software requests, worked one at a time. A flat monthly fee, pause anytime. - **Price:** $3,000 / month internationally; ₹2,50,000 + GST / month in India. - **Commitment:** three-month minimum (the first month is discovery), then pause or cancel anytime. - **Includes:** strategy and roadmap, builds, team training, and a stay-current mandate (our job is knowing what changed in AI this month and folding it in). - **One-liner:** a hire builds what you tell them and you manage them; a Chief AI Officer tells you what to build, builds it, trains your team, and keeps you current, with nobody to manage. ### 2. Custom builds (the workhorse) Bespoke software built around how you actually work — ERPs, inventory and production systems, CRMs, client portals, websites, AI assistants, document automation, and more. One fixed price after a small paid discovery, plus a small monthly maintenance retainer to keep it running. - **Paid discovery:** $600 / ₹50,000, credited to the build. One to two days mapping your workflow; you leave with a written scope and a fixed price even if you never build with us. - **Build:** from $6,000 / from ₹5,00,000 + GST, one fixed price set after discovery. Four to sixteen weeks depending on shape. - **Ownership:** you own the code and the deployment. Run it yourself, or keep us on a small maintenance retainer (with an optional Chief AI Officer extension to keep building). ### 3. Indie builds (our own products) The software, SaaS, and AI tools we build for ourselves, productized so anyone can use them. You buy them outright as a one-time purchase, or run them free with your own API key (BYOK). No subscriptions, no lock-in. This is the quiet corner of what we do, not the main event. Plus **the work**: a portfolio of everything we have already shipped, with a full case study on each build. ## Who this is for Owner-operators and small teams that have real complexity and real money on the line but no in-house software or AI team: family-run businesses, manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, clinics and practices, agencies and studios, professional-services and consulting firms, retail and e-commerce, brokerages. You stay the operator; we handle the software. **Not a fit:** VC-backed startups and enterprises already on full software teams, or a problem a ₹999/month SaaS already solves well (we will tell you if that is you). ## How an engagement starts 1. **Fit Call** — 30 minutes, free, no slides. We look at your business, tell you the first things we would build, and whether a retainer or a custom build is the right shape. For custom builds, the next step is the paid discovery. 2. **Build / run** — for the retainer, we work your request queue one at a time. For a custom build, discovery → fixed-price build → handoff. 3. **Own it** — you keep the code, the deployment, and the documentation.
